Classroom Relationships
When thinking about classroom relationships a few things come to mind: a good positive attitude, body language, and organization. These are just some things that I learned in class this semester. However, there are many more things in classroom relationships that I learned. These too me stand out the most because I was able to see my college classroom relationship teacher engage in these as well as my field experience teacher. I was able to see the different ways he would go about using these three things with the younger students. I learned also in my classroom relationship class how to give your students more freedom and make school exciting. In class we did a group theorist presentation, and my theorist talked about how making projects interesting and giving more power to the students made his class run so much smoother. Below you can view some of the artifacts that I created during my semester in classroom relationships class.

I believe classroom rules are very important in teaching because it sets the ground rules for the students so that they know what I expect from them at the start of every school year, also so that I can improve as a teacher each year. My rules could show off my strengths because it shows that were not going to be messing around in class the students are here to learn. That’s something as a teacher I want to have is strength over my class they need to know who is in charge and who has power it’s alright to give the students power but know their limits. I was surprised with how many rules I could make in just a few minuets but after reading though them I noticed that many of the rules were the same just worded differently. It is important that you have the major most important rules so that they stand out to your students.

I learned that you can control your classroom without having to yell and scream at the students. William Glasser has a very good way to get the students to listen to him and understand what he means. I would use this in my classroom because I’m not the type of person who wants to yell at my students. I believe that many teachers should use this type of classroom management, because of how well it works and how well the students adapt to it. |
